An 82-year-old man was killed in Woodmere on Friday morning when the Mercedes he was traveling in crashed with two vehicles, struck a tree and overturned, Nassau County police said.

Police said the Mercedes, driven by a 78-year-old woman, was heading east on West Broadway at about 9 a.m. when it collided with a 2024 Honda SUV.

The driver of the Mercedes then lost control and hit a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn, police said. In the process, the Mercedes collided with a 2024 Nissan Rogue.

The 82-year-old man riding in the Mercedes was declared dead at the scene by a Nassau County medic, police said. The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

A 33-year-old man driving the Nissan was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Honda and her infant were not injured. The baby was evaluated by a doctor.
