Sunrise Highway westbound reopens after fatal motorcycle crash in Bellmore
A motorcycle driver died after his vehicle struck the back of a tanker truck in Bellmore, Nassau County police said.
The crash took place on the westbound side of Sunrise Highway, just east of Newbridge Road at around 4 p.m.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
All lanes of westbound Sunrise Highway were reopened after they were closed from Centre Avenue to Newbridge Road as police continued their investigation.
