Figoski jurors go home because of the storm

A Brooklyn jury deliberating the fate of Lamont Pride, accused of fatally shooting NYPD Officer Peter Figoski, a West Babylon resident, adjourned early Friday afternoon as the judge in the case gave them time to get home and prepare for the approaching snowstorm.
A separate jury hearing the case against the alleged getaway driver, Michael Velez, 22 of Ozone Park, was sent home for the weekend earlier in the day after Velez finished testifying in his own defense and both the defense and prosecution rested their cases.
The jury in the Pride case resumes deliberations Monday morning. There will be summations in the Velez case Monday and the judge will charge that jury Wednesday. There is no court on Tuesday, the holiday.
