Fire at Asian restaurant in Lawrence

Volunteers from at least three departments battled a blaze at a kosher Asian food restaurant in Lawrence Wednesday morning, police and fire officials said.

The fire at Cho-Sen Island, 367 Central Ave., was reported at 6:20 a.m., Nassau County police said.

Nassau fire officials said firefighters from Lawrence, Cedarhurst and Hewlett were dispatched to battle the blaze.

The restaurant has been at the site since 1993.
