A fire broke out in a vacuum cleaner repair shop in Oceanside on Saturday evening, according to authorities.

The blaze started just before 6 p.m. in 3346 Long Beach Rd., inside the AAA Vacuum Co. store, which was closed at the time, according to an email from the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office.

The fire continued to burn, reaching three alarms and requiring mutual aid from 14 neighboring departments.

The Oceanside Fire Department led the battle, which brought 150 firefighters to the scene.

No one was reported injured in the blaze, and first responders managed to confine the fire to the single building in the strip mall.
