Firefighters from the North Massapequa, Massapequa and Seaford fire departments worked early Sunday morning to put out a house fire on North Nassau Avenue in North Massapequa.
There were no injuries caused by the fire, which was contained to the house's garage, said North Massapequa First Assistant Chief Kevin Mauro.
The cause of the fire, which broke out a little before 6 a.m., is still under investigation, Mauro said, but so far it's been deemed "nonsuspicious." The family living inside the house evacuated safely, Mauro added.
