Firefighters help resident out of burning Oyster Bay Cove home
Firefighters from Oyster Bay and five other departments needed about an hour to extinguish a house fire in Oyster Bay Cove Tuesday morning, a Nassau County fire official said.
The Oyster Bay Fire Department responded to a call at 5:22 a.m. about a fire on Sunken Orchard Lane, said Mike Capoziello of the Nassau County Fire Commission.
Other departments responding were Syosset, East Norwich, Locust Valley, Glenwood and Hicksville, Capoziello said.
There were no injuries, Capoziello said, but firefighters did help one resident from the home, he said.
