The Nassau County Police Department on Thursday identified a 63-year-old pedestrian struck and killed last week by a school bus in Floral Park, as Guy Cerina, a resident of the village.

Police responded to a 7:45 a.m. call on Sept. 24 to find the man identified as Cerina laying in the street near the intersection of Plainfield Avenue and Magnolia Avenue, Nassau police said.

The driver of the 2028 Chevrolet school bus, a 69-year-old woman, remained at the scene. No schoolchildren were on the bus at the time of the crash, police said.

Cerina was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
