A masked gunman robbed a Franklin Square CVS store of an unspecified amount of cash early Thursday, Nassau County police said.

A man in a gray hat, blue shirt, black jeans and wearing a mask entered the CVS at 640 Franklin Ave. at about 2:10 a.m., police said. He displayed a black handgun and demanded cash from the register.

Police said the clerk, a 56-year-old man, gave the suspect an unspecified amount of cash, and the robber fled west through the store's parking lot.

No injuries were reported.
