Freeport shooting leaves man in critical condition
A 32-year-old Freeport man was arrested Saturday night in the shooting of a 45-year-old man twice in the back.
James Moses, of Hampton Place, shot the victim with a .25 caliber rifle in Moses's driveway, Nassau police said.
The victim, who was not identified by police, is in critical condition in a local hospital, police said.
Moses was charged with first-degree assault and first-degree criminal use of a firearm, police said. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead today.
