Garden City Police said Thursday that they are looking for two men who stole cash from donation boxes at a Roman Catholic church last week.

Two men entered the Church of St. Anne at 35 Dartmouth St. about 11 a.m. on Nov. 10 and took about $150 in cash, police said.

Det. Sgt. James Bartkowski said the suspects were captured on video surveillance cameras inside the church.

Bartkowski said the two men entered the church, which was open, went outside and came back in again. They were able to reach inside one box and rip off the top of another to get the cash, he said.

Police said anyone with information on the incident can call Det. Kevin Madden at 516-465-4109.
