Nassau police Thursday identified the driver and passenger killed last month in a fiery Inwood crash as Gbolahan Egberongbe, 20, and Devon Grenada, 27, both of Far Rockaway, Queens.

The crash occurred at about 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 28 as Egberongbe drove a BMW sedan south on Sheridan Boulevard, police said.

The BMW collided with a garbage truck traveling west on Bayview Avenue, police said at the time, and the crash sparked a fire that engulfed both vehicles.

Egberonge and Grenada were both were pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the garbage truck was treated for minor injuries at a hospital, police said.

The delay in positively identify Egberonge and Grenada occurred “because of the severity of the burns,” a Nassau police spokesman said Thursday.
