A 32-year-old man was struck and killed on his bicycle in Glen Cove Tuesday, police said.

The cyclist, who has not been identified, was approaching Glen Cove Road from a walkway behind a residential building about 9 p.m. Tuesday. As he entered traffic, he collided with a 2004 Honda Accord operated by a 31-year-old male, police said.

The bicyclist was transported by Glen Cove EMS to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. The driver of the vehicle remained at scene.

No other injuries were reported, police said.
