Glen Cove Mayor Reginald Spinello is scheduled to unveil his draft 2017 budget at the Oct. 5 City Council work session. A public hearing on the budget is slated for the Oct. 13 council meeting.
The council usually meets on Tuesdays, but the work session date was moved to a Wednesday because of Rosh Hashana, and the full council meeting was moved to a Thursday because of Yom Kippur. The budget will be posted on the city’s website — glencove-li.us — no later than Oct. 10, city spokeswoman Lisa Travatello said.
A council vote on the budget is expected on Oct. 25.
The public can attend but not comment at the council work session, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the second-floor conference room of City Hall.
The Oct. 13 public hearing, which includes time for public comment, is at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.
