Gunfire hits Elmont woman's home
Someone fired shots from a handgun into the home of a 47-year-old woman in Elmont late Wednesday and now police are searching for a group of males who fled from the scene.
No one was injured, Nassau County police said.
Police said the shots-fired incident took place on Crystal Street at 11:10 p.m. They did not say how many shots were fired and did not detail a possible motive.
Police said the group ran away following the incident.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
