Three adults and four children were taken to hospitals after two vehicles collided Wednesday morning at a Hempstead intersection, Hempstead Village police said.

The injuries were not serious, police said, and the children, who were riding in a sport utility vehicle, were "all properly restrained" in car seats.

The collision, which resulted when the SUV rolled over and struck a parked vehicle, occurred at 10:37 a.m. at Ingraham Boulevard and Phoenix Street, said police, who had no further information as to how the collision occurred.
