Nassau police Monday identified the victim of a fatal shooting in a Hempstead fast-food restaurant parking lot on April 16 as a 35-year-old Hempstead man.

Michael Prophet was killed in the shooting at 11:15 p.m. on 340 Peninsula Blvd., police said in a news release. Police are still investigating the motive.

Prophet was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others, who have not been identified, suffered injuries from the shots and were taken to local hospitals.

Investigators say they don't have a description of who shot the men. Anyone with more information on the shootings should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-244-TIPS.
