Hempstead girl, 14, reported missing is found, police say

A 14-year-old girl Hempstead girl who went missing Wednesday morning has been found, police said early Friday.

Nassau County’s missing persons squad had been looking for Karen Alvarado, who had not returned after leaving her residence at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the girl has been found. They did not provide details in a news release Friday.
