Motorcyclist critically injured in Hempstead crash on Fulton Avenue

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a Friday night crash in Hempstead, Nassau County police said in a news release.
The 23-year-old motorcyclist, who was not identified by police, was driving a 2007 Kawaski westbound near 590 Fulton Ave. when he collided with a 2016 Kia, police said.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, police said. The Kia's driver, a 22-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital.
The crash happened at 9:12 p.m. An investigation is ongoing. Additional details were not yet available.
