A robbery in Hempstead led to a police chase through the streets of Uniondale and Hempstead and ended up on the Wantagh State Parkway, Hempstead police said Monday night.

Hempstead police said they received a call about 10:34 p.m. about a robbery in Hempstead. Soon after, a suspect or suspects fled, leading Hempstead police, who were assisted by Nassau police, on a chase that ended up on the Wantagh Parkway just south of the Southern State Parkway.

Hempstead police said the suspect went back and forth through Uniondale and then down Hempstead Turnpike to the Wantagh Parkway, where police were investigating late Monday.
