A 33-year-old Hempstead woman was arrested late Sunday night, charged with stabbing her 27-year-old boyfriend in the hand and arms during an argument, police said.

Nora Castillon, of Harvard Street, was charged with first-degree assault, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, police said. She is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said the victim was taken to a hospital and admitted in stable condition.

The stabbing occurred inside the apartment on Harvard Street at about 11:30 p.m., police said.

During the incident, police said Castillon stabbed the victim "numerous times."

Police said Castillon also was in possession of cocaine.
