Hicksville crash results in 1 taken to hospital, cops say

One woman was taken to a hospital after a midmorning collision in Hicksville that left one car overturned on a sidewalk, Nassau County police said.
The crash occurred about 9:30 a.m. on Woodbury Road between Pollok Place and Magenta Street.
Preliminary indications are that the crash involved two vehicles but resulted in no serious injuries, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Photos from the scene show a car on its roof on the sidewalk against a tree and a mangled stoplight stanchion that was apparently knocked down onto the sidewalk by the impact of a collision.
