Hicksville man charged with arson in strip club fire, police say

A Hicksville man was charged Thursday in connection with a fire intentionally set at a North Bellmore strip club on Monday, police said.
Arson/Bomb squad detectives reported that Craig Blum, 42, of 185 W. John St. was arrested and is charged with second degree arson and first degree reckless endangerment.
An employee at Billy Dean's Showtime Café, at 1536 Newbridge Rd., discovered the fire had been set at the rear exterior of the building at 12:40 a.m. Monday, police said in a news release. The blaze caused damage to a hallway and bathroom, police said.
The North Bellmore Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported, police said.
Blum is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in First District Court, Hempstead.
