A 36-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries Saturday morning after her car was struck by a van at a Hicksville intersection, Nassau County police said.

The two-vehicle crash occurred just after 11 a.m. at Stewart Avenue and Levittown Parkway, police said.

The woman, who is from Carle Place, was driving a 2002 Toyota north on Levittown Parkway when the vehicle was hit by a 2013 Ford Econoline van traveling east on Stewart Avenue, according to police.

The driver of the van, a 60-year-old Setauket man, was treated at a hospital and released, police said.

No criminality was suspected, police said, and Stewart Avenue was closed for several hours while police investigated.
