Hit-run injures man in Franklin Square

Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident Monday night in Franklin Square that left a man hospitalized.

Nassau County police said the incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Gavrin Boulevard and that the victim, whose identity was not released, was being treated at a hospital. His condition was not immediately known Tuesday.

Police said additional details about the accident were not immediately available because of the continuing investigation.
