A truck hit a pedestrian bridge over Hempstead Turnpike at Hofstra University Friday morning, officials said.

There were no reported injuries in the crash, which occurred at 8:18 a.m. just west of California Avenue on the border between Hempstead and Uniondale, Nassau County police said.

The bridge, which connects Hofstra facilities on both sides of Hempstead Turnpike, was closed for several hours, but reopened late morning after an inspection, a school spokeswoman said.
