Other LI age-bias cases

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has brought eight other federal age-discrimination lawsuits on behalf of Long Island volunteer firefighters who were denied pension credit for service after they reached 60.

The EEOC has settled cases with:

Centerport Fire District, Eaton's Neck Fire District, Village of Valley Stream

These cases are pending:

Amityville Fire Department, Bayville Fire Company, Brentwood Fire Department, Oyster Bay Fire Department, Selden Fire District
