How YouTube's ad partnership program works
HOW IT WORKS
YouTube places ads using matching technology.
Ad placement can be based on factors relating to the video, such as its subject category, or on interests and possible interests of the viewer, based on his/her viewing and browsing history.
Video creators can decide which videos they want to be so "monetized," but most opt for all their uploads to be matched with ads, says a YouTube spokesman.
