Cops: Knife-wielding man robs doughnut shop in Farmingdale
Police are searching for a knife-wielding man who robbed a Dunkin' Donuts store in Farmingdale on Thursday.
The robbery took place at the store on Fulton Street at 7:46 p.m., Nassau County police said. The robber fled the scene on foot, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said the suspect, a man in his 20s and about 6-foot tall with a medium build, wore baggy black sweatpants, a dark-colored hoodie and dark sunglasses. The suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the register, police said.
Police said when the cashier didn't immediately comply, the suspect walked behind the counter -- and took cash.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
