Police: Man shot in Hempstead; 2 suspects in car sought
Nassau County police are looking for two suspects involved in the shooting of a 26-year-old man in Hempstead early Saturday.
Detectives said the victim was walking on Linden Avenue about 3:42 a.m. when he was approached by a male and female in a black vehicle. The male driver started talking to the victim, and as the victim walked up to the car, he was shot in the left side of his body, police said.
The vehicle then fled in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, police said.
