A woman walking her dog in Massapequa was attacked by three males on bicycles Tuesday morning, Nassau police said.

The victim, 46, was on the path in Massapequa Preserve near Parkside Boulevard when three young men appearing to be in their teens approached her from behind about 10:15 a.m. and one knocked her to the ground, police said.

That caused her to drop her iPod, which one assailant picked up, then discarded into the bush, police said.

All three then pedaled off on their bicycles to Parkside Boulevard, police said.

One suspect appeared to be about 19 years old, had dark brown hair and a sleeve tattoo on his right arm, police said. The other two appeared to be about 17 years old and had brown hair, police said.

Detectives said anyone with information cancontact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
