Intruder flees after Baldwin break-in
The woman screamed. The intruder ran from the house.
Nassau County police are trying to find the man who broke into a home on Eastern Boulevard in Baldwin through a rear door early Friday, terrifying the homeowner -- but stealing nothing.
Police said the incident happened at 2:19 a.m.
They said the woman, 45, awoke to find a man, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, standing in her bedroom.
She screamed and the intruder ran off, police said. Nothing was taken and no one was injured.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
