An Inwood man was killed and his passenger injured in an early morning accident Saturday in Cedarhurst.
Nassau County police said Luis Zepeda, 30, of Robert Road, was driving his 2004 Nissan Maxima at 2 a.m. when he lost control of the car and struck a tree as he was turning from West Broadway onto Clinton Avenue.
Zepeda was bleeding internally and had a right hip fracture; his passenger, a 29-year-old man, suffered cuts to his left knee, police said.
Both were taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside where Zepeda was pronounced dead at 5:52 a.m.
