Islanders fans grill Mangano via Twitter

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano is getting a little testy on Twitter due to a handful of disgruntled and impatient Islanders fans.

Some Mangano Twitter followers have been demanding details on his plans to build a new arena for the team before their lease at the Nassau Coliseum expires in 2015. But Mangano appears to be losing patience with the constant questions.

"Even without the daily Twitter reminders, I still remember the 'Islanders clock' every day," he wrote last week. Mangano told another follower that plans "cannot be done overnight."

One Twitter follower -- IslesPunkFan -- may have really gotten under Mangano's skin. After a series of pointed questions, the county executive stopped following his tweets. -- Robert Brodsky
