A Franklin Square woman hit the jackpot at a Connecticut casino, winning nearly $2 million on a penny slot machine.

Cindy Montalbano played the Wizard of Oz slot at Mohegan Sun on Oct. 3 and cashed in at $1,984,388.38, the casino said Tuesday.

That amount is one of the largest won on a progressive jackpot at the casino, according to Mohegan Sun. In progressive slot machine games, the jackpot rises as the players put coins into the slot. A small percentage of each coin feeds the jackpot.

Montalbano’s win came three weeks after a Bethel, Connecticut, man won $875,898.88 on a table game, Mohegan Sun said.
