Jericho fire district to hold runoff election for commissioner Tuesday
The Jericho Fire District plans to hold a runoff election Tuesday for one open commissioner seat on the five-member board after last month’s election resulted in a tie.
Candidates Frank Sammartano and Paolo Pironi were tied with 115 votes after post-election challenges at the Nassau Board of Elections. Commissioners serve five-year terms. Voting runs from 6 pm to 9 pm at 424 North Broadway, Jericho.
