Jericho Tpke. in Elwood reopens

Jericho Turnpike in Elwood was closed in both directions Monday morning after a vehicle hit a telephone pole, Suffolk County police said.

A police spokeswoman said a call came in at about 6:30 a.m. that a vehicle hit a telephone pole between East Deer Park Road and Old Country Road.

Police said no injuries were related to the incident and that the road was reopened to traffic around 9:45 a.m.
