Cops: Part of eastbound Jericho Turnpike reopens after accident

The eastbound lanes of Jericho Turnpike between Plainview Road and Juneau Boulevard in Woodbury reopened overnight Monday after an accident, Nassau County police said.

There were downed wires rom the accident late Sunday in which a single vehicle struck a telephone pole, a police spokesman said. There were no injuries, he said.

In a news release shortly after 3 a.m. police said the lanes had reopened.
