A fiery three-car crash in Uniondale closed a portion of Jerusalem Avenue during Tuesday’s morning rush hour, Nassau County police said.

A police spokeswoman said the crash at about 5:30 a.m. closed the roadway in front of the Walmart store at 1123 Jerusalem Ave.; it reopened shortly after 8 a.m.

Two vehicles were stopped on the side of the road when another vehicle crashed into them, igniting both.

Firefighters from the Uniondale Fire Department needed about 15 to 20 minutes to extinguish the flames.

There were no serious injuries, she said.
