Silver Alert issued for missing Valley Stream man with dementia

Nassau County police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Valley Stream man who has dementia.
On Wednesday police released a photograph of Jose Garcia, 81, who was last seen in Valley Stream at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said he possibly was wearing a Brooklyn Cyclones baseball cap.
The Silver Alert program is designed to inform local media, hospitals and law enforcement agencies when a senior citizen or individual with mental or cognitive disorders is missing.
