Joseph Dauria, 16, of Lido Beach, was arrested on on Sunday, June 22, 2014, and charged with robbing a man while displaying a gun in Lido Beach, Nassau County police said. A Long Beach teenager was arrested and charged with robbing a man while displaying a gun in Lido Beach on Sunday, Nassau County police said.

Police said the victim, 18, was walking on Reynolds Drive at 1:30 a.m. when he was approached by Joseph Dauria, 16, who had a black handgun.

Dauria demanded property from the victim, who gave up his cellphone, wallet and personal papers, police said.

Dauria then ran away toward Lido Boulevard, police said.

Police said they found Dauria at the corner of Lido Boulevard and Blackheath Road and arrested him. He had a black BB gun with him, police said.

Dauria was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree criminal use of a firearm and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
