Nassau police have located an 18-year-old man with autism who went missing Sunday afternoon in Lynbrook.

Authorities said Sunday evening they had located Josh T. Niewierowski, but had no details about where he was found or his physical condition.

He was reported missing after last being seen at about 3 p.m. by his siblings visiting a friend's home on Griffin Place, police said.

Police had put out an alert saying Niewierowski suffers from a cognitive disorder and needs of medication, police said, adding that he can only communicate non verbally by head gestures.
