Los Angeles-based movie makers are looking for actors for their next flick at a casting call Friday at Hempstead High School.

Officials from Branded Pictures Entertainment need authentic lacrosse players who can fill roles in "Crooked Arrows," a film about Native American lacrosse players.

Auditions will be held at 4 p.m. for those under 14, 5 p.m. for those between the ages of 14 and 17 and 6 p.m. for men 18 and older.

"We are really just trying to find the best lacrosse players to come out," said Marc Marcum, co-producer of "Crooked Arrows" and vice president of Branded Pictures Entertainment. "The goal of the movie is to make the lacrosse team look as authentic as possible."

Marcum said anyone with lacrosse experience should try out for the movie, which is set to premiere next spring.

The casting call is part of a tri-state tour. Officials will travel to Norwalk, Conn., and Summit, N.J. Saturday and Sunday.
