A Lake Success man who got into a late-night fight with a houseguest died the next morning, Nassau County police said Saturday.
Police homicide investigators charged the guest, Tae Wan Kim, 29, of Pusan, Korea, with third-degree assault in connection with the fight, which was on Friday at 11:20 p.m.
"After the altercation, both parties returned to the victim's residence in Lake Success, where Kim was staying with the victim and his family," police said.
Saturday morning, the man, 34, was brought to the hospital after being found unresponsive in the residence, police said.
A news release on the death did not name the deceased man or say whether his death came as a result of the fight.
More details are expected from the county medical examiner's office pending an autopsy, police said.
The man is identified only as an acquaintance of Kim's. He died at 10:11 a.m. at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park. Police are waiting to release his identity until they reach his next of kin.
