A Lakeview man was arraigned Sunday and charged in four bank robberies dating back to November.
Frank Jackson, 47, who is due back in court on Wednesday, was arrested Friday in Hempstead.
He has been charged with giving tellers threatening notes demanding cash at a Roslyn Savings Bank in Freeport on Nov. 22, a Roslyn Savings Bank in East Meadow on Jan. 9, a TD Bank in Hempstead on Jan. 12, and a Capital One bank in West Hempstead about an hour later, police said. He'd flee with the cash, and in one case, he fled on a bicycle, police said.
Police didn't say how robbery squad detectives caught Jackson, what evidence they have against him, how much money he stole, or whether he confessed.
At his arraignment at First District Court in Hempstead on felony robbery charges, Jackson was ordered held on a total of $450,000 bond or $225,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday.
