A Manhattan woman was drunk when she crashed into three parked vehicles in Oceanside early Thursday and was then pulled from her burning vehicle by two witnesses, Nassau County police said.

Laura A. Hartlieb, 32, of 1510 Lexington Ave., was driving west on Merrick Road, near Chestnut Street, at about 12:17 a.m. when she hit three parked vehicles, police said.

Her car and another vehicle caught fire, and two witnesses at the scene pulled the driver from her burning car to safety, according to a news release.

Hartlieb did not have any passengers. She was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment, said police, who did not disclose the nature of her injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Police investigating the accident determined at the scene that Hartlieb was intoxicated, the release said.

Hartlieb is charged with driving while intoxicated and her arraignment will be scheduled "as soon as practical," police said.
