A 27-year-old Levittown man was killed Thursday night after his motorcycle collided with a car near his home, Nassau County police said.

Joseph Brill, of Redpoll Lane, died about an hour after the 9:30 p.m. crash at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Cool Lane in Levittown.

Police said Brill was riding his 2000 Suzuki southbound on Jerusalem when it collided with a 2001 BMW. Brill was taken to a hospital by Levittown Fire Department ambulance, but died at 10:30 p.m.

Police said the driver of the BMW, whose identity was not released, was uninjured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, but detectives said there was no apparent criminality involved.
