The Levittown school district in text and voicemail messages to parents and staff on Thursday warned of a stranger danger.
The district said a stranger approached a student near Jonas E. Salk Middle School and Douglas MacArthur High School, making the student feel uncomfortable.
The student then left the area, the district said.
The message urged those who see anything to call their school or police.
A Nassau County police spokesman on Friday said police were not immediately aware of any reports by the district.
