A 16-year-old Levittown boy has been arrested in connection with several Nassau County burglaries in December.

The teen is charged with four counts of second-degree burglary and will be arraigned March 26 in Family Court in Westbury.

This is the second arrest in the case. On Thursday, police arrested Giovanni Colantuono, 20, of Levittown, in connection with the burglaries. Colantuono, who police said was holding a bag of marijuana at the time of his arrest, was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

Police said Colantuono, the teen and two others burglarized a home on Sunrise Lane in Levittown on Dec. 13, forcing open a rear door and stealing jewelry.

Then on Dec. 19, police said, Colantuono, the teen and three others forced open a rear door of a home on Kell Place in Seaford, stealing jewelry, an iPod, video games and Christmas presents.

The four also broke into a home on Greentree Drive in Wantagh that night, police said, but were scared off by a resident who awoke and interrupted the burglary. Two nights later, police said, the four returned to the home, forced open a rear window and stole a pair of earrings and cash.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.
