Nassau and Suffolk ranked among the top 25 wealthiest counties in the nation in terms of median household take-home pay, according to a Forbes magazine report based on census data.

Nassau ranked No. 11, with a median household annual net income of $93,579, the Forbes magazine report said.

Suffolk ranked No. 25, with a median yearly household net income of $84,767, the survey said.

Ranking on top of the Forbes list was Loudoun County, Va., a Washington, D.C., suburb where families take home a median $110,643.

Data on the 1,889 counties analyzed comes from 2008 and earlier, so the ranking does not take into account the recently battered economy of the New York area and the nation.
